100 years

I wanted to have a soup, then I got this ultra classic Heinz tomato soup. Actually, it was my first time to try this famous soup. It wasn't one for me. It's too plain and nothing special but I realized the important point to keep same taste for 100 years. That is so plain, very standard and not special, so people keep having it without any doubt. Sometime we like adventure but at same time we also feel comfortable to same thing; basic. We all have some balance of those two different side for a lot of subjects but also in food. That's my thought of today.

Clams

I was looking for clam in different super markets but I finally found it in local fishmonger.

Clam should be leave in salt water for them to put sand out before use it.

I simply made Vongole with clam.

Smell of garlic is very delicious...

Here is my dinner tonight. I can't wait to make a clam soup next time. Clam gives very good aroma and taste.

Hojicha

It's always exciting when I open new tea box. Each tea company and each year has signature taste. This is tea from kagaboucha (http://www.kagaboucha.co.jp). Hojicha which is brown tea(roasted green tea)and specially this is made by tea branches. This is very prestige tea as our emperor drinks this tea too.

OUT of TOWN

I went to adventure around EC1 with E. We both like wondering around and to find independent shops, some secret places, good food shops and restaurants. Sometime in local sometime in town sometime out of town. Today E brought me to New shop/coffee/bar in EC1 called out of town(www.outoftown.com) located back street of Clarkenwell road.

Very small hidden place combine Cafe, bar and shop(Mainly English old vintage items). Feels like i come to someones house. Would be nice to do this kind of lacal shop/restaurant with full of tasrty food in future!

There is a big wooden table at center of the shop where cafe space is.

My branch croque-monsieur
